…Accuses Commission of Compromise
…Cautions that Imo People Will Not Accept Fake Results
National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu urges the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the authentic results of the March 18, 2023 House of Assembly election which must reflect the realities of how Imo people voted at the poll.
Senator Anyanwu insists that from the results obtained from the Polling Units, across the State, Imo people voted en- masse for PDP candidates, and cautions against any attempt by anybody to compromise or subvert the Will of the people as expressed at the Polling Units.
The PDP leader forewarns that any attempt to manipulate the process with the intent to release or declare any results other than the authentic figures already obtained from the Polling Units will be firmly resisted by the people of Imo State.
Senator Anyanwu cautions that the people of the State will not accept a repeat of the provocative and brazen manipulation of results as witnessed in the February 25, 2023 Presidential and National Assembly elections, adding that the Commission must redeem its image by announcing only authentic results in the House of Assembly election.
The PDP Chieftain notes that Imo State is a stronghold of the PDP, and charges INEC and its officials to ensure that the Will of the people at the poll is respected and preserved.
While calling on the people of Imo State to remain calm and law-abiding, the PDP National Secretary stresses that the PDP will take every step necessary to ensure that none of its mandates is stolen at this election.
